Distributed space-time coding for cooperative networks
In this report we show how proper cooperation among radio nodes may provide diversity gain, also for single antenna systems. We consider first the connectivity of a wireless network and show how it can benefit from cooperation. Then, we consider some specific forms of cooperations, based on distributed space-time coding, in both single and multi-user contexts. Finally, we pay a special attentio...
متن کاملDifferential Turbo Space-Time Coding
Serial concatenation of standard convolutional or block codes with differential spacetime modulation is considered for flat fading multiple antenna channels. Extrinsic information transfer is used to predict thresholds for various outer codes. Using the differential structure of the inner code near coherent performance is obtained without the use of training symbols.
متن کاملReview of Buffer-Aided Distributed Space-Time Coding Schemes and Algorithms for Cooperative Wireless Systems
Correspondence: [email protected] Department of Electronics, University of York, YO10 5DD York, UK Full list of author information is available at the end of the article Abstract In this work, we propose buffer-aided distributed space-time coding (DSTC) schemes and relay selection algorithms for cooperative direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. We first devise a relay ...
متن کاملCooperative MIMO with Randomized Distributed Space-Time Coding
This contribution proposes cooperative MIMO with randomized distributed space-time coding (R-DSTC) for the 802.16m system description document (SDD). Purpose To incorporate cooperative MIMO with R-DSTC proposed herein into the IEEE 802.16m system description document (SDD). Notice This document does not represent the agreed views of the IEEE 802.16 Working Group or any of its subgroups. It repr...
متن کاملAdaptive Distributed Space-Time Coding for Cooperative MIMO Relaying Systems with Limited Feedback
An adaptive distributed space-time coding (DSTC) scheme is proposed for two-hop cooperative MIMO networks. Linear minimum mean square error (MMSE) receive filters and adjustable matrices subject to a power constraint are considered with an amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperation strategy. In the proposed DSTC scheme, an adjustable matrix obtained by a feedback channel is employed to transform the ...
